The Killer Lolis are coming to America!
O...omigawd...omigawd...omigaaaawd...

HIGURASHI HAS BEEN PICKED UP BY GENEON.
proof 1, proof 2

That was insanely quick. D8 Then again, us Americans love seeing teenage girls go insane and cut people into pieces, so it was bound to happen someday. *lawl* I hope the manga comes soon, preferrably picked up by Tokyopop...I just always imagined it that way...I can see it now! The lovely un-viz-framed covers with that stupid "100% Authetic Manga" stamp on the back. 8D Plus Viz is probably too wimpy to pick up such a horrific manga like Higurashi. XD They even let go of KKJ because of it's "religious theme", pfft.

I have mixed feelings at the moment. On one hand, now I can buy the products without hassle. On the other hand, I'm worried about the dubbing. Higurashi is a very hard anime to pull off, especially Satsuki Yukino, Mai Nakahara, and Yukari Tamura gave amazing performances, if not their BEST seiyuu work ever, on Higurashi. PLUS! There's a lot of screaming, much much screaming, and you have to make that CONVINCING you know! [/sarcasm]

I'm hoping Vic Mignogna will be cast as Keiichi. XD It would be PERFECT! Does Vic even do work for Bang Zoom! Entertainment and/or Geneon? These voice actors kinda stay in a certain arena, don't they? I know that all the series that were picked up by Viz had the similar voice actors to their anime, so I'm not totally sure how it works.

If Monica Stori gets cast as Shmion, I'm going to have to break out teh emotears...she's talented and all, but she actually SMASHED a character's image with her girly-girl voice, and she is not a good match for Satsuki Yukino nor Shmion. ;__; *clings to Satsuki Yukino-san ♥♥*

I must save money! JUNEJUNEJUNE!! @___@ That Onikakushi-hen DVD w/ Slipcase Cover box shall be MIIIIIINE.

ZOMG HIGURASHI DUBBED? Woah I'm curious for that one. Can't imagine anything than the original cast (which was great, btw) and lol, you're right about the screaming.. this is gonna be funny, I think. xDD But it's great that Higurashi seems to get more popular, har :D

ooh, nifty, I was wondering if Higurashi would get picked up. *laughs* Yay, another series to hover by ANN for, waiting for casting news XD nuh-uh, though, you know what was quick? Witchblade was freaking quick, that was licensed about 4 episodes in ;-; At least all of Higurashi got subbed... /random

Ooh, now casting is going to be interesting. I don't know, Vic seems to do more stuff with Viz and Funimation, I think? I dunno why, but I'd put money on Johnny Yong Bosch (XD) or Steve Staley getting that role...

*laughs* Oh, you know they're so gonna go girly-voice overload with all four of the evil Higurashi chicks. XD I seriously doubt Moneca Stori, though, does she even do stuff for Geneon or BangZoom? *coughs* Ten bucks one of them will be Wendee Lee XD

Yay, Higurashi, though, that'll be cool to see on DVD :3 *happy dance*

Haha, what I meant is that I never thought Higurashi the anime would get dubbed -- like I said before, it's budget wasn't that high, and it was aired late at night so only people who already loved the game really stayed up to watch it apparently. But then it actually got a second season, and now it's going to be DUBBED!(?) Oddly enough, one of my first thoughts were "why hasn't AIR gotten picked up then" (probably because they're both anime that were taken from games and such)? If Higurashi can get picked up by the states, so can AIR, especially since it's quite loved in Japan. >_<; That's mainly why I think it's so fast...I thought if it ever did get dubbed, it would be a few years at least, but Higurashi has surpassed my expectations. :o

Y'know, everyone keeps mentioning this JYB guy, and I had no idea who he was until now! XD I hope he doesn't play Keiichi...I see he played Ichigo in Bleach, and I saw one episode of that. His voice is just way too old and plain for Keiichi. x_X It's probably too much to wish for Vic, but his Edo voice would be perfect...that semi-prepubescent, scratchy teenage boy voice is much like Souichiro Hoshi's take on Keiichi. I have no idea what this Steve-whatever sounds like. XDD

Nah-ah, $10 bucks one of the killer lolis becomes a Tachikoma. 8]
